Injectors for mid 11's

turbojd- In your signature you have 60/65 injectors what are those? Just wondering? I have no driving time with 60s but I know w/ the 36# blue tops and the 49 it was not enough:smile:

The reason the motrons are referred to as 60/65 is because they were originally advertised as 60# injectors when in fact they actually are 65 pounds. I have a set in my car that were flowed and came out to 65#, and I'm sure a lot of other people have too.
 
If I had to do it again, I would get the 60's. No complaints with the 009's I have except I think I'm gonna run out of injector soon. 009's are hard to burn a chip for from what I've heard, TT is the only chip I've had that wasn't pig rich down low.

About the same set up I'm running. 009's and razors alky on a 6152.
 
Can you use the 60s with stock ECM?

Absolutely. The 60# motrons are high impedance.... which require no ECM modifications. They idle/drive fine on a bone stock engine with a turbotweak chip.... yet are large enough (in some cases) to carry you all the way to high 9's with pump gas and alky (see Grumpy's daughter... Melissa's car). IMHO... there is no better injector for the money spent on a street driven car.

The only reason to deviate is if you happen to be targeting more than 550 or so RWHP.... then consider a larger injector... otherwise... no need IMHO...

Yeah, seems to be pretty efficient w/ my setup. TT and razor's alky is the only way to go. New convertor on the way, should be looooooow 11's, maybe a high 10. Still afraid of running out of injector.

can you look at injector d/c on a power logger? I want one really bad, but only have so much coin to throw at something right now. I'd love to jump on a set of 60's, but there's other things I would like to have, and what I have works fine. Who's converter did you go with? I just got my PTC. :biggrin:

I can look @ the injector duty cycle on direct scan. I've got a D5 restalled to 2800-3000 right now but I've got a 3400 9/11 on the road headed my way. Gonna be a busy weekend. Going racing next weekend.

4 years ago, i went 11.60s on a very street friendly tune w/ 50s.
hell it was my Daily Driver while in High School!!!

Melissa ran 11.5s @ 118 in street trim for a LONG time with the good ol blue tops ... nothing wrong with blues or 50s .. its just that you can buy the 60# inj once and they work awesome :p

what were you running with them to be "not enuff" ?? Blue tops were the rage in the mid 90s up here.. most of the cars had 44 turbo's and worked great !! Had lots of 11 sec cars on them .. Had one TTA 11.31 @ 121 from what I can remember.. Blues were great at the time ..:cool: BUT..that was yesterday and yesterdays gone :p

buttonfly-check my sig, your running pretty close to me all stock, try the Iridium plug tight to 032. Had any miss or sputtering at top end(24lbs boost)??? I gained 1/2 a second and still had good fuel. Im at 37-38 hose off let me know. I am At 2250 above sea level here in Good old edmonton Alberta. CANADA :biggrin:keep it Rich for safety sakes!
 
60's and extender plus here. 10.90's on race gas, no alky on an unopened long block.
I've always wanted to try a TT chip, but the extender is working well for me.
