Guys

Any one noticed any issues while using the extended sensor bung with the innovate set up (bosh sensor) ?

I dont remember if the sensor lives longer when its not too far into the stream or what was the reason behind using the longer bung. Any thoughts? any one tested both and see any difference in readings?

Where do you have the bung mounted in the downpipe? The sensor used with the LC-1 will last longer if mounted at the lower end of the downpipe.

Its right around 18 -20 inches after the turbo. Local buddy noticed I was using the extended bung and expressed some concerns. Innovate actually recommend s it on their q&a page. But not sure what the general public was doing or experienced

i dont know if it made any difference but i ground mine down till the tip of the sensor was just even cause to me it looked to deep before i ground it .and i had it welded test pipe where the cat converter was .after the cutout. some one had posted a pic on this site how he did it just like that and i have no problems you have to make sure you have no leaks at the down pipe.

I use the HBX-1. After several years of use and abuse, the holes and passageway got clogged with carbon causing a sensor to become sluggish and fail. Something I will keep an eye on and check every few years. Other than that, no problems here.
