Looking for some help. My T, with the heater or defrost on, steam up all inside glass. Not sure why? Cleaned the glass 4 times with no results. I did add some coolant to the reservoir, it was low a tad. Put in an OLD 50/50 mix, this is the first time i have had this problem, does coolant go bad at all?
I smell no coolant outside or inside of car and have detected no coolant leaks at all anywhere. Any input would be greatly appreciated::confused:

Leaky heater core.
Vac control for heat/defrost not working.
Air door lever broken off.

Thanks Chuck, I have heard that it could be the heater core leaking, I also ran the a/c and windows dont steam up. Not sure if that helps me. Any suggestions on getting to heater core? Where to locate and what to look for? Inside car or from engine compartment? Thanks for the reply, any other ideas?

You get to the heater core by removing the top of the AC box, under the hood. The space that the heater core sits in should have a drain. Check from the underside and see if the drain is wet.

Thanks Chuck. I will take a look and maybe take that apart this weekend. Thanks for the reply. I did run the a/c and no steaming of the glass whatsoever. I will look and see if there is any moisture at the drain hose, Thanks again

AIRC, the A/C should come on when you turn on the defrost. That's how the air gets the moisture taken out. If the A/C doesn't come on, then that's another problem. Since the A/C works, I'd be looking to find out why it won't be triggered when the defrost mode is chosen.
Look to see if the A/C comp clutch closes when the def is chosen.
It's "been awhile" since I worked on A/C.. Maybe one of the goorus will chime in!

Thought I would chime in as Chuck is right. Same presentation happened with my GN. You should feel somewhat fortunate that the heater core is giving you a warning before it leaks big time and fills your passenger foot well with coolant. Replacing the heater core isn't a bad deal if you remain patient step by step. Do a search and you will find a number of excellent step by step threads on replacing the core. I was lucky and found a copper replacement at my local O'Reilly's for less than $25.

ARGGGH. Ok now. I followed the instructions and got good progress. But i am hung up on the housing, getting it off. It seems to be hanging up on the pass. side near the firewall somewhere or maybe inside someplace?? I check to make sure there are no screws or bolts still in the housing holding it up, but i cant find anything else. It really seems to be hanging up from inside somewhere. Any ideas?? It moves up and down a couple of inches except on the pass. side near the firewall. Any suggestions would be appreciated, and thanks to all for the input and info. HELP!!!!!!!

U take the lower windshield strip off? It's about 3" wide, and goes all the way across the w/s.
The w/s side of the cover is sealed w/ black sealer that gets hard over time.

double check for screws..it had me scatching my head to a few times....there where a few screws I had look close for......

Yes took off the windsheild trim. The old sealer was hard, but i did take a knife and slid it behing the cover, that is freed up. I looked and looked for more screws, couldnt see any more. Also took off the wiper rest arms just in case. The housing is free and i does lift up towards the front of the car about 2 inches, it appears all the seals are separated. I am scratchin my head about his one.!! I guess i have to look at this more closely, i dont want to force the cover off at all. I must be missing something here, I will look again this weekend, thanks for the input all, any other suggestions??? I beleive i have ALL the screws that are in the housing off, but will look with a microscope for more lol.
