The beeping is normal.

LED changes color from red to green after pressure is made.

the beeping i think is the sound of the pump motor turning and it is more like a whining noise

The controller uses PWM(Pulse width modulation) to spin the pump. The beeep noise is the controller sending a signal to spin the pump. If you unplug the pump.. it wont beep anymore

Ever played with a remote control car.. same scenario to run its motor.
