Hey guys
i am curious where you guys recomend i should connect the power lines (what to tap into)
and also if someone could explain which tab of the aldl i need to connect the diag port to
Thanks guys

I just connected my power to the fuse panel. Very simple. I think most have it there. As for the ALDL port "E", which if you are looking at it straight on, the second one from the top left.

Slick SM hookup

If you want to wire in a connector to plug the SM into, that is controlled by a switch in the ashtray, here is some info that has worked out well for me:

Works out good for switching the SM between two vehicles also. You can connect to the back side of the ADL connector and have the front of it free for other connections. I think a Turbo Link would work out that way. Use a small soldering iron for the work. You can also make use of the matching side of another 4 pin connector to make the SM portable to the cig lighter for other cars, since this new connection would be unique to your vehicle.

I just did this last weekend. I used a trailer light connector ONLY because the parts store had no other 3 (or greater) prong quick disconnect in both male and female.

I tapped an unused switched spot in the fuse panel (top) for my scanmaster and radar detector.
