State farm will insure your car at the appraised value. You take the car to their appraiser, they give you an appraisal, you turn the appraisal over to the insurance co, and they taylor the cost to insure to the stated value. I had a 1970 Chevelle SS396 appraised at $26,000 value, and cost was $13/month for classic car insurance. There was NO stipulations on mileage, or usage. No bull. PM me for details.

That sounds better than grundy.

Anybody know of a collector car insurance company that doesn't require you to have a garage?

I need coverage for my POS 1985 olds 442 I am restoring.

Grundy, Hargerty and Classic American all require a garage.

The car is only worth $2000 but I need it to be legal for when I do drive it.

When I had SF I asked about Classic car ins and the agent told me they did not do any of that :( Thats definitely even cheaper than Grundy...I can't beleive SF is cheaper than anyone after my experience with them..just have to watch for discounts that you are eligible for if you have your daily driver and home with them and are a customer so many years.

I got a quote through Sneed insurance for collector car, on a 87 GN for $298 with agreed value of 20,000. But then they told me I had to be aleast 25 or older. Does Grundy, Hargerty Classic American or State Farm have age requirements ???

I have no idea, best just to call and ask up front before you waste your time giving them the info. Grundy runs me about $250 year for $20k value.
