A couple of weeks back replaced the stock intercooler scoop (the one with the leather on it) because the leather just gave up and was flapping in the wind. We replaced it with a solid fiberglass one. Within a week the car was stumbling under boost. We knew we had a bad battery( which was replaced under warranty) and we knew we had pulled the instrument panel for a speedo cable replacement and had probably had not got the connector completely seated, so we pulled it and made sure it was seated. We also noticed that when we popped the hood the clamp on the hose at the turbo from the intercooler had come loose (clamp had worked off and hose was cocked) so we tighten it back up, After we made these fixes it ran fine. Well today it started stumble again, I popped the hood and now the clamp at the bottom end of the hose come loose and am guessing when the torque set in it is twisting the hose and we are sucking some no intercooler air. Is this a possible cause of the stumble? If it is, is there connection between the new scoop and the problem?

Anytime you have an air leak, (after MAF sensor) the system is receiving un-metered airflow and can cause some stumbling issues. It would be the same as if you unhooked your IC pipe and let the motor try to run.
No workie too good. And after a few minutes of the ECM pitching a fit and trying to correct the system with fuel and timing corrections, it will eventually kick into Limp Home Mode.
Which runs even worse.

Make sure all your hoses and clamps are tight, with no leaks. Especially if you have the flexible Mass Air Flow hose that's between the MAF sensor and turbo inlet bell. If you have a MAF pipe, still check your hoses.
Once you have all the leaks fixed, unplug the ECM orange wire behind the battery, count to 10  and hook it back up. Start car and it should run a lot smoother.

When that hose twisted it could have caused a cut in the hose, that only rears it's head under boost. How old is the hose that keeps working loose? Is it coated with oil? If coated, it will keep slipping/blowing off under boost.

Do you have a Scanmaster on the car? Or, have you paper clipped the ALDL connector, to check your trouble codes if the check engine light is on?
Tell us more, we're all here to help.

Hose is old and not oily, but pretty soft, have a new one ready to put on.

Replaced the flexi MAF hose a couple weeks back with a solid metal one and brand new hose connectors. These are tight and good.

Can I kill the ECM by just taking the quick disconnect on the negitive battery post off? Have a Scanmaster and it is not throwing any codes and no check engine light on.

Any thoughts on the solid air scoop? Drill a couple holes in it to reduce the air pressure exerted on it?

Thanks
