Intercooler question

so I was thinking of painting my FMIC black to not be so noticeable. Are there any draw backs to having the intercooler painted . Does the actual paint defeat the purpose of the aluminum decepting the heat ? I think the paint will not make the IC cool as efficient but Not much I would think but just saying . I run Razors alcohol kit so I know that will lower my temps.
What's does everyone think ??

I had mine powdercoated black and ran it that way for years no issue

I shoot the ft face w/ a light coat of flat black spray can engine paint.

Spring for the powder coat its a much thinner application .

I see... The radiator Eastwood paint looks like it's more effective . As it helps with the heat

Back in the day when there were still local radiator shops, they used a special radiator paint that would help conduct heat.

I don't know the correct name of the paint. The Eastwood product showed up during a search for radiator paint.
