Well for a hybrid there is no "off the shelf" front mount intercooler solution so I'm going to have to get custom.

What do ya'll think would work better,
a thicker (~3.5in) narrower (~16in core width) intercooler with a single 90 right off of the tanks (back into the engine bay under the radiator)
or
a thinner (~2.75in) wider (~20in core width) intercooler with a pair of 90s off of each tank in 2 planes (Vertical to Horizontal then backwards into the engine bay under the radiator).

This is all front mount and trying to keep enough air to the radiator and AC condensor to not overheat in traffic.

Thanks,

Knowing that your Riv will be a little heavy I'd go with the thinner one to maximize airflow to the radiator and condenser. I'm assuming you are using 3" tubing for the pipes so I wouldn't worry about an extra bend or two. M $.02, anyway :-).

2.5in pipe since that's all that will fit under the radiator but otherwise, pretty much what I was thinking. A wide low density core with piping that will work, I've seen a lot more complicated intercooler piping on more serious cars.
