i just bought a precision front mount and everything went great until i went to install the pipe from the turbo to the intercooler,i tried clocking the turbo down and when i do that the internal waste gate gets in a bind (angled)what am i doing wrong?thanks

undo the bolts for the actuator and move it closer to the nozzle. If you have clearance.

Here's the deal.

The PTE Front Mount is available with two different IC pipes that go from the turbo to the intercooler.
Here is a quick picture showing the difference between the two.

PTEpipes.jpg

The top pipe is for use on cars that have a Terry Houston style internal wastegate downpipe setup, where the compressor cover is pointing straight forward.

The bottom pipe is intended for use on cars that do not have an internal style wastegate, and where the compressor cover can be rotated down at a 45* angle to align with the pipe. If you have this second pipe, you will have to heavily modify your wastegate actuator mounting bracket in order to try to get it too work. If you don't want to modify the bracket, then my advice would be to call PTE or one of Precisions vendor/distributors and order the intercooler pipe part number 055-1005 (DTP C1) Retail cost $267.99.

But, if you have the correct pipe, then do as notacarlo said and try to reposition the actuator mounting bracket and backing plate clamps.
What turbo are you running?

Hope this helps clear up the confusion.

i have the t-60 turbo,my pipe has a slight bend of a 45 degree angle where it should be a 90 degree like the top,so my pipe does not really look like those.the guy i bought it from said he had it on a stock style wastegate,i can see getting it on there, but it looks like the wastegate rod will be in a bind
