I had a deal going with the same company and wanted to make stainless headers off the specs of the original ones and they said under the contract I would have to sell them for $1800 a set with out bolts and gaskets.I also had to buy the first 10 sets.I even bought a extra car for them to use a test car.Be careful dealing with them.Talk up front prices first.

I thought Red sold his a few years ago for around $500. But that was 3-4 years ago. I am sure costs went up since then. After seeing the Chinese ones I would still pay extra for a nice one. The chinese ones look good in the pics. But I did not think it was anywhere near as nice as my old ATR stuff.

I just dug out my old receipt. I bought mine in September 2006. It was $439 plus $13.00 for S&H. But I am with you, I do not know the cost of stainless steel these days.

Here is the deal the original jigs were at Terry's car wash last I heard but were up for sale, Red did not get them but Ken who worked for TH building the pipes there could have made some for Red, he did go to work for him after Terrys wife let him go. Stainless Works in Ohio has some jigs but not all of them, they were bending pipes for TH. I spoke to them a couple years ago about making them again and took them a set of ATR headers, They wanted around $900 a set for the headers in quanity and about $650 for downpipes with no dump or test pipe, again this was in quanity not one at a time. Now maybe they are hurting for work and woud do it for less but there is no way I would pay that price. So I let it die. you would be looking at headers around $1200 and downpipes over $800 if his prices are still the same buying one at a time, at least that is what they quoted then.

When I was meeting with them I seen your stuff in boxes there and they had told me you were not happy with there prices and then I learned for myself the hard way.I even offered them to use my we4 I just bought for header project for downpipes and exhaust.

At that price, if they are 304 stainless, I think you will have a good thing going. Keep production low. I think the 3.5 inch THDP is nice too. Most will buy them and never have to upgrade again.
