Interest Level: 2011 Buick Event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway? Who would attend???

Hello All!

Ive been talking to Race Jace (RJC Racing) to put on a 2011 event in Las Vegas for the Buicks. It would probably be a 2 day event and run in conjunction with another event so to decrease costs. We are thinking an October or November date b/c its late enough in the year that it wont interfere with most events and the weather is still warm out and comfortable. Plus October is a jammed pack month with NHRA, SEMA, World Street Nats, etc.. So let me know who is interested in attending? May to August are wayyyyy tooo hot so those are out of the question. October probably would be the best b/c it wont put people who are in the mountain west or Canada with driving issues due to inclimate weather and snow. Let me know who is done for this!!!

Crickey, someone posts a decent car for sale and there are 35+ replies in 2 hours. But getting a comitment to attend and event and it's crickets:frown: I already attend 3 Vegas races per year with other clubs but I think I could squeeze in another. What group were you considering pairing with?

Supras. Been a tradition in the past. Plus a close friend is good friends with Dana Westover of Vegas who owns I believe the fastest Supra in the world and dominating Limited Street in PSCA this year! Or are you talking Buick club?

i would love to go but we have the WCN in november. Why not just save up and make the trip down to the WCN in Suprise at the end of november. Jason has been before and im sure he will come again. lets just try to make the WCN the big West Coast event.

Another buick event would be sweet plus if its in november it could be an end of the year top off...Esp for all the so cal guys that said NC was to far to drive for the other buick event..On top of that for the rest of us nice weather when its getting cold at home..Could you imagine a bunch of buicks cruising the strip in vegas!!!

Phoenix can be an event and Vegas will too. I will probably try to get it into the spring time since Mountain West guys like Montana, Canada etc will have a difficult time traveling down in their cars, or with a trailer, etc, so i would like to alleviate the traveling issues and potential hassles of traveling in winter months and put it in the spring. That way west coast guys can hit up Vegas, Turbo Thunder in the NW, and Phoenix in the fall as well. Good mix of tracks and should get more people involved as well. Biggest issue in October is you have a lot of big Buick meets: Cecil, BG, etc and plus you have NHRA finals and SEMA and SCSN so Vegas will be tied up. Spring will be good to get the cars out and get the rusty off the cars (figuratively speaking) and get people back in the game. Should be fun esp if we can get some Supras in the mix. Little grudge racing never hurts anybody!
