I grew up working in a wrecking yard. One time I was pulling the heater core out of a Maverick and it was like I won on the slot machine! Pennies Nicole's and dimes came POURING OUT. Probably less than 10 bucks but it seemed like a lot more than that.
Lots of body tissue ....,......gross. My dad found a chunk of someone's brain. (Glad it wasn't me)
Biggest bill was a $20.
Found a metal box full of brass fittings and other hardware. Made a lot of cool stuff with that.
Father in law bought a wrecked early Mustang at an auction and when he got it home he found a Boss 351 had been installed by someone. 4 bolt main 351 Cleveland 4V. Made a good chunk of change on that buy.
Some of the cars we got in would send chills up my spine when they were towed in. Pretty bad when the steering wheel is wrapped around the column and the passenger dash is flush with the firewall with two holes in the windshield.
