86 Buick GN - once again one of those square grey door strap clips found their way to freedom.

I'll pick up a set of four just to keep them around -- anyone have or know where to pick up these little goodies.

Anyone have a tip for keeping them in place :):)

Please email -- thanks

You can find them but expect to pay $15 or more a piece for the right GN dark grey ones. You can pick up a set of 4 of the light silver ones that will look ok but they werent what GN's had for about $17 off of ebay. Dennis Kirban is making reproduction ones for the GN but Im not sure how much they are.

gold filled parts

picked the strap caps from Kirban

call me crazy but -- $10 each -- gets me going -

maybe should order 4 - next time I need them they will be $20 each

thanks

When you order 4 of them at a time from Kirban they knock $5 off the total price so it is a little better to buy more. How do they look next to a real one?

So, I have an 87 Turbo T and the caps on my car are darker than the insert in the chrome strips on either side of the pull straps. Does that mean I have the hard to get expensive ones? Is the grey trim supposed to be lighter in my T than the GN's?

Are you losing them because the screws securing the pull strap to the door keep loosening and pushing the cover off? If so, you might want to fix that problem first or the next little cover is going to be a jumper just like the ones before it.

Kirban sells them

I bought some not too long ago and was very unimpressed by the quality... The inserts weren't applied squarely to the actual piece that snaps in, the inserts came off because whatever adhesive was used to put them onto the base hadn't cured/dried/whatever and then the snap clip broke off too... Wasn't worth making a stink over but wanted to give you a heads up.

Kirban ones - marginal

they fit and are aproximatly the right color

the colored plastic was not glue on well or straight -- had to remove and re-glue them

also went with the bit of RTV idea to keep them in place

thanks all
