I pulled the front pump to install a hardened stator support, and was wondering a couple things.

I know I had some intermediate band issues in the past, and was going to just replace that in the trans. Should I do this or is it a waste of time?

If I do it, should I put in stock width band or the power band?

Will I need to machine the drum for the power band?

Also, at PTAC they have red and carbon fiber band bands. Carbon fiber is more expensive, is it better?

Lastly, should I put the 10 vane pump kit in or just leave it alone for now.

Is this stuff worth doing to try and get a little more time out of my trans, or am I doing enough to warrant a full rebuild?

Do not replace the pump. They are not drop ins. The drum surface needs to be flat consistent. Many are damaged from band slippage and tapered from improper turning. Theres only one technique that works for turning the drums
