1550 isn't gonna cut it for a lot of folks that go fast.........

but as long as you make that clear, you'll have a market I'm sure

Brian,

I have a 88 4bolt with an off center that I could send you.
That turbo has never been bolted up.
You may want to use a large frame 91-101mm turbo so your headers will be the only ones that can use the mid and large frame. What size primarys on the stage 2 units? 1 7/8???

You should consider clocking the turbo so that the inlet faces forward. This makes ram air ducting and more importantly 4.5 and 5 inch down pipes easier to do.

azgn....... its pure metalurgy........ anything with 1600 and above needs inconnel. i dint write the books, just quoting them.

John- 1 7/8 is correct.

Jack cotton told me the same thing about clocking the turbo that way. I think for that side i will make 2 jigs....... one for a semi stock location 88 and a side saddle jig.

You may also want to consider a forward facing cross over.
This would help eliminate some of the lag that other designs have.

headers

i agree with azgn! my car likes 1700 or higher, i have stock headers, someone has to have a header, atr/kenne bell, burhead, that can take those numbers. ed

Like i said...... talk to any stainless company like burns, or woolf areospace and they will say the same thing. I think we get away with it because we do it for short bursts instead of say a road course turbo car.

Either way, 321 stainless is what they will be built out of.

A real collector on the passenger side would be an idea. On the bigger divided tangental exhaust housings no collector works well.

On the Stage 2 headers, make sure you can get to the valve cover bolts and the spark plugs.

If you can put these together with 321 stainless for $895 I'll be impressed.

I have a set of TH and so far only one small crack but I did have the flange issue that caused a leak. Never a problem with the driver side. Like Walt Judy, I too would be interested in the driver side replacement.
Make sure you get the turbo flange at the perfect angle or the DP will not line up for the bolts.

The price will be the same if i can bends and straights for 10-15 sets. Price diff between 304 and 321 is around 50 bucks i i buy in quantity , 150 if i do not.

So who in for a set ?:D

100% refundable if this does not pan out.

These headers have been test fit and the jigs for the 3 bolts are already made. My 4 bolt set for my car will be made in the next week or so.

We have a stock block and heads on the stand to make sure every set and crossover will work together.

For the single stage headers, i still need to find some junk stage 2 heads that still will allow headers to bolt to them.

Anybody ? :D
