Hello from the deep south,
Just a quick intro. Just returned to Waveland MS. from BG, my head is still swimming although not from the rain. What a great Show!

I don't own a turbo car myself, all this is new to me. I will say I was most impressed by the number of very quick street driven cars.

I'll be helping a friend install about two grand worth of parts we picked up at BG on his 87 GN, looking to put the car into the low 11's. He has owned at least six of these cars in the past, but never modified any of them.

I've been around drag racing 45 years, alive for 55 and I have to say I've never met a group of car people more dedicated to their car of choice than the Turbo crowd.

I'm hoping to gain a lot of knowledge from the fourms here so I'll spend a lot of time searching and less time posting for now.

This is one awesome site, and I know that it's the participants that make it work.

Thanks,
Wheels427

You'll own one soon enough. You can't fight it.

Welcome! There's more than enough info here, but also try gnttype.org for part numbers and photo guides.

Welcome

Welcome Aboard. Was my first BG as well and you are exactly right. Could not imagine a better group of guys to be associated with. The cars and the owners are all very unique.

Now, time to get down to business, we MS boys have to stick together so anything I can do just let me know. Randy Alexander is located in Monticello, MS about two hours drive time for you. He is a very good Turbo Buick guy. Please let me know if we can help in anyway!

Thanks all, for the welcome.
Just returned from my friends place. We installed the RJC front mount, and Alky control kit(not wired in yet). Trying to decide on a good location for the trans cooler and overflow bottle, perhaps other than the recommended location.

It's been said that turbos blow, but I think I'm getting sucked in by this little screamer.
Looks like a pretty steep learning curve and I appreciate all offers to help. Hope to be taking y'all up on them soon.
Thanks,
Wheels

Are you planning on running a fuel cell? If so the trans cooler will fit great there. Check out Sam Colalillo's build up under restorations

V8Assasin,
Thanks for the tip. We won't be running a fuel cell, at least not at first. Once we get the car up in the air the solution may be easier to figure out.
This isn't going to be much of a problem compared to everything else we'll be doing.

We're having fun now!
