I am currently in the process of tuning my car, and I want to tune it with no knock(almost) at 17 psi. I've been told that with stock turbo, injectors and no IC I should not go over 15psi.

Can I run my car safe at 17psi with my mods listed below?

Thanks

BTW, Mike if you read this, dont get offended by me asking this on this board, I just want a second opinion. :)

If you tune it right i dont see y not. you have a good fuel pump and all so you will have lots of fuel to feed it. I didnt have mine not intercooled for long but i ran over 17psi and no problems , maybe i was lucky.

hey

i was running 22psi of boost on a stock turbo and injectors on pump gas. no det. at all it ran sweet

brent:D :D

If I want to run 17psi, what should I put the fuel pressure at?

Also, O2 should be at around 775 right?

Thanks

I guess if you are running 15 now and you wont to go to 17psi .
I would add 2 psi on the fuel press and see where you stand. If you are running say 38 psi now at 15 psi fp you should be at 53 psi at full boost , for 17 you would want it to be 2 psi higherso it would be 55psi at full boost. fp 38 + boost 17psi = 55psi at full boost .

is the car tuned now for the 15psi that you run , where do you have your fp now.

let me know guys if this is not write.:)

I've run 20psi no intercooler, stock turbo and injectors. Watch the knock with the scan tool. As long as you have no knock you should be ok. I wish I could run that much on pump gas again now that I have a big turbo and intercooler.

Well, I've decided to first tune for 15psi, then I'll try for 17. I just want to get this thing tuned right, so the setonation will stop.
Thanks for the advice:)
