is AC19930 the right converter??

Is this the right converter or is this the source of my thrust failure??
Please help me figure this out so I don't take out another short block.

"IF" the convertor is balloning and therefore taking out the thrust bearing, then you need a convertor with an anti-balloning plate. Carr does not install one unless requested. Anderson Performance in Baltimore sells the best 9 inch (my opinion). It is billet with balloning plate. Carr has the name, Anderson has the convertor.

Can I tell by looking at it "IF" its the problem? It looks fine and fits good. What else should I look for?
