Is it just me or does there seem to be more single guys than girls?

I swear to god everywhere I go (especially at my college) I see all kinds of girls that I want to go up and talk to...but then lone behold her boyfriend shows up after class or she gets on her cell phone and calls her boyfriend...where as I see all kinds of guys walking around and they are all single...looking for parties to attend to...looking for girls to meet...always talking to other guys...I don't see that with girls!

what is up with that? are there really more single guys our age out there compared to girls??? it seems so damn difficult to find a chick to hang out with! in the case of my ex...she found someone right away and hasn't exactly looked back...me on the other hand is struggling to find someone and I'm taking the breakup alot harder than she is...sigh when does it end maybe i need to find more parties...

I remember when the girls of my youth 18-24 were stuck up YANKEE PRUDES!

We would head to that fishing hole called the Balcony lounge where 30 to 40 year old divorces would swallow up a young guy like a phirana.

no all my friends are single too...well except for one but that doesn't count and i won't go there...

i am going to a 4-year college...it's a branch campus off of Purdue University which has about 4000 students enrolled...so it's small

I was just going to say that is was tougher for me going to Jr. College where it was a "commuter" campus. It seemed like all the girls there were older or had kids . Once I transfered to a four year school and lived there... it was game on!

yea, ASU blows goats when it comes to female, most are easy on the eyes but most have some sort of attachment. oh and then their are the few that do porn to make ends meet. that is a real eye opener!

I can't look at that girl straight anymore. There's something about seeing someone do porn that makes undressing them with your eyes that much easier

The sad part is that I thought she looked familiar....when you've tapped out the internet's porn resource like I have you're bound to run into a few of them

It always seems when you are looking there are none to be found. Then again when you shouldnt be looking you find more than you bargin for. Thats just what ive noticed but it usually is true.

It always seemed to me that girls would come and go in waves.
Atleast in my life it has been like that. There have been times where there were plenty to choose from and other times when the pickin's are pretty slim. It hasnt changed with age.
The best advice is to be patient. They always have a strange way of creeping into our lives when we least expect it.
I guess what I am saying is; when the time is right, you will find them.

Its the truth!
When your car is running its best there are no races to be found. But when it is running like crap, everyone and their brother wants a piece of ya!
Girls are the same way. When you are at your best (looking and feeling good), there are never any around or they arent interested.
But when you look like hell and are miserable they are all over the place. I cant explain it man.

still in the same boat as you man. my would be anniversary is on saturday so i'm gonna be having all those feeling come back. mean while my ex is telling me her new BF is the one. F her, she isn't gettin her naked pics back now. But anyway, i called up a few girls i knew back when i was single so i may have so possible prospects lined up. All you need it to find that small window and as soon as you open it, the girls will come pouring in. Its easier to met a girl through someone than to meet a total stranger. If you have any female friends tell them to hook you up.

Be patient.

The best way to pick up chicks, is to not give off the vide that you are looking. Be very casual about everything. Do not make yourself look disperate. Let things come to you, and eventually someone will come along.

A confident(almost cocky) attitude also helps.

well i go to a 4 year college A&M in galveston and I don't think there are more than 2500 here or so but im not sure. I don't think its that there are more single guys than girls but the girls your interested in are taken and the rest don't really go out to much, thats how it is here. I don't want to sound shallow but my college is nothing like the main campus, there the girls are abundent and hot, in galveston there are probably 30 hot girld total. looks are not everything but if your not attracted to her then its not fair to either one of you. Like stated above just stand tall and seem confident that comes off well and attracts girls.

I know the feeling.
Im 25 now, and it seems like all the girls my age are in a serious relationship or married.
I actually moved back to my old college town here in upstate NY, which has 2 schools here. I was hoping to find some single women. If anything, its worse than I remember it back in my college days.
Dont even expect to find a girl who knows what she wants unless she is 25 or older. The young ones have no clue what they want out of life, or a boyfriend, and thats where the problem for us guys is.
I'll expand on what blackshoebox said eariler. You don't notice the single ones, they tend to stay out of the lights and hide in the shadows of their friends. Both men and women are afraid of rejection, so single people are less likely to put themselves out there for others to notice. Why do you notice the ones that are always attached? They have nothing to prove to you or anyone else. They already have someone to go home to. They have no fear of rejection, so they can really be themselves.
And, something else I have noticed, is that people will always want what they can't have. If you appear taken, by hanging out with other girls (who might just be friends) that alone is an attraction to them. If you are single, you are that way for some reason, right? Something must be wrong with you then? If it shows that other people like you, then they will be more interested in finding out why others like you.
I have been reading a few books on attraction, body language, and inter-personal relationships. It definately helps to know the game you are playing before you go out on the field, right?
