is it ok to leave TL cable hooked up 24/7?

the original TL cable is two pieces. the part the plugs in the aldl is about ~12" . can i leave that hooked up the the aldl and hanging under the dash 24/7? this way if i want to hook up TL i dont have to crawl under the dash to get to the aldl port (my alky control box is mounted down there next to the radio so it and its wires and some other wires make plugging in the cable a pain) im just wondering if the heat will ruin the cable or connector. the car is a daily driver and spends its fair share of time in the sun.

Yep, that works fine ... just unplug the PC end of it (which can be subject to environmental conditions and static).

It shouldn't hurt anything .. the ALDL end is pretty robust.
