Just got it all in last week and I swear I've tested it several times and the converter locks up in 3rd gear as well as OD. I don't think I really want it to do this because most of the time in 3rd I'm in town and l/u isn't that helpful...any ideas?

Don't think I've ever heard of one doing this..

Adrian, the 200 4R is designed to lock in 3rd and 4th gear. You can add a manual switch to keep it from doing that if you wish. It is a feature of the transmission rather than the converter. Give us a call and I will get you walked thru the change if you want to do it.

Thanks, Mark

Wow thanks for the info Mark, I had no idea, I guess I couldn't even tell with my crappy stock trans and stock d5..well I guess that's fine for it then..just hunts around gears a little it seems, one more thing..the trans seems to stay in 2nd only a short time before it shifts into 3rd, then OD comes in late..any ideas? We've messed with the TV cable but maybe not enough?? Anyway the stall feels GREAT, really appreciate it Mark.. :)

This dude here on the board, Damon Duplesis..he said he had a fully freshened up TCI Streetfighter and I grabbed it for $500!!! Hell of a deal! What makes you ask?

Your shifting issues are to do with the transmission in all likelyhood. You may want to get it into a trans shop and have them look at it. The short shifting on the 2/3 shift may give you some problems in the future. Just a precautionary thing is all Adrian.

Thanks buddy for the business, Mark

P.s. $500 was a great deal. Cores for a BRF go for that and more.
