Was going to order the Walbro 340 and hotwire kit from Racetronix real soon, and noticed that there are two different kits, depending on the connector. It says that '87 cars come with a black connector, and that " '84, '85 and some '86's " come with an orange one. Well, my Limited is an '87, but it has the orange connector?
Any cause for suspicion, or is it common? Regardless, I assume that I'm going to be buying the G75-FPA kit, rather than the G77? Correct me if I'm wrong :)

Thanks, Mark

ahh my memory has been refreshed now. if you have the black, purple, grey wires then you need the '87 harness.

that was the same problem i had when i went to order my harness too.

Drop the tank and make sure if your that worried about it. It's the connection to the pump that changed.

I'd hardly say I'm worried about it ;)

Just want to make sure I order the right stuff the first time. Kind of a "measure twice, cut once" situation :D

Thanks for the help, guys..

but if you drop the tank which you have to do anyway, there would be no mistake as to what pump to order.

Dropping the tank means down time,,nobody wants to be away from their baby ....:p :p

Me? Actually I just brought the car out of storage and my classic plate finally came in. I took it out for a few short rides over the weekend, but that's it. Problem is, there's 7/8 of a tank of gas in it that I need to burn off before dropping the tank. Plus, what Bandaid said :D

but it's cool, I know what I need to now to buy the right thang ;)
