Is there anyway to repair leaking injectors? Without taking them out of the car? I'm thinking of running some seafoam through them and see if that helps? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Try cleaning them through the rail a couple times. depending what you use I would use a old 02 sensor. Once cleaned you can do a balance test or flow test. I use the otc injector clean or gm upper cylinder cleaner through the rail.

How do you know they are leaking?

If you smell lots of gasoline in the oil, you best remove the injectors before serious damage happens which can cost a whole lot more than a new set of injectors.

Haven't smelled any gasoline from the oil yet? But my fuel pressure is still dropping?? You wouldn't think it is the injectors being E85 has been run through them and only 1800 miles on them? They are deka injectors which are supposed to be good? And they are all firing correctly

dropping when car is shut off? Check valve in pump? If injectors were leaking down you would have other issues. Pull the rail and key it up. If they are leaking you will see it.

Be careful doing this. You need to positively retain the injectors or they will shoot out of the rail like a missile and gas will spray all over.

Doing some checking on google. One comment I found was that the fuel return line (on top of the tank) was angled wrong something about lowering the tank a little bit and it held pressure just fine? Also this may sound stupid but is there a diagram of where the fuel return line is for an 87? I'm guessing it's on top of the fuel tank one of the three rubber hoses? Thanks. By the way if it is something to do with the return line is it anything to worry about?

The return line runs right next to the pressure line from front of car to tank. The return line does not have anything to do with fuel pressure unless its blocked off. Then it would be real high. The pressure drop would be leakng injectors /check valve in pump or bad regulator. The regulator would cause drivabilty issues as would the injectors .How fast does it loose pressure?

It loses pressure as soon as the key is turned to the off position? Called Kirban today and he said my regulator checked out fine? He put it on a car at the shop there and the pressure raised and lowered as it should? He is still sending me out a new one though? If it is the pumps check valve is it anything to worry about? Will it hurt the engine? As far as drivability it runs AWESOME! no hesitating, perfect idle, doesn't puff black smoke out the tailpipe or smell like gas back there? The weird thing is though I had a advanced stock regulator that was leaking when I installed it but when the key was turned off the pressure dropped to 20 and stayed there? The adjustable regulator just dropped to 0 instantly?? Still confused on the matter of that situation? I do know the stock pulse dampner has been removed and the fuel pump was bought back in August-September from precision turbo it is a 255LPH walbro with a hotwire kit? Has the jumper installed on the fuel tank (ground wire) and the fuse is not blown behind the alternator for hotwire kit. Fuel pump must be working if I'm getting no chugging, hesitation, loss of power? And normal driving is ok.???

leave it alone if it runs ok. Its probably the check valve in pump. I wouldnt loose any sleep over it. As long as it has good pressure and volume it should be fine.
