Is this factory?

I was cleaning up the factory wiring and came across this, I was just wondering if this looks like a factory connection or someone else was into it. This connection was found underneath the hard plastic cover about right in the middle of the valve cover.

Thank you, I was hoping someone would confirm that it was factory. I had fears that someone before me had gone in there and hacked into the wiring harness
