Is this possible?...Cam sensor?

I've been doing searches on cam sensors and have read several times about people driving their cars for months and even years with the cam sensor 180 out. Is this possible? Would it run good enough that you wouldn't notice it? What would be the symtoms of having it 180 out? Thanks, R.B.

The ones I have seen at 180 out run MUCH better when set properly!

when mine was 180 out it would start and run but when reved up you could tell that something was not right.

diddo on 180 off not running right. picked up an 86 and had to replace the cam sensor and i had it 180 out spitting back hesitation and all.
