Is worth switching from a CAS-V-4 SLIC to a front mount for my combo?

I have ran a FMIC for over 10 years and you don't need a lot of cooling system mods to keep your car cool with a FM. I have the $90 f body radiator and a stock fan and have no problems at all. The key is to keep the factory radiator "box in" parts in place with the FM. The factory had the radiator area set up where the air that came thru the grill had to go thru the radiator. Many cars have had these parts removed over the years and many people remove the bottom section when installing a FM. When the bottom section is removed the air comes thru the grill and hits the FM and then goes down under the car and bypasses the radiator because that is the path of least resistance. With the bottom section installed this is not a problem and the air is forced thru the radiator. I drove my car on the Hot Rod Power Tour a couple years ago thru the South and temps were in the 90's and a couple of days got to 100 and had no cooling problems with a FM. Almost any car that has a stock 25+ year old radiator could use a new one anyway.
