I found some people talking about this using the search but the domain isacalky.com does not work. Out of business, or what?

Thanks Joe

The ISAC product is a combination alky controller and boost controller. The web page is not up, but I believe G-Body parts has some of the units.

Bob

Cool Bob, i have good things about it. Gbody want 359 for it. I just wonder if its even worth it vs the alky control unit. Just doing my research ahead out time.

Thanks Joe

If you buy anything other then ALKY Control...you won't get help from a lot of people on here and I can guarantee that you won't get the same customer service as Julio gives at ALKY Control. He is top notch.
If you go cheap....you get cheap.

Yea but if you buy the ISAC you can get help from Bob since he designed the thing.

I like mine for the safety features alone. FWIW I use an Alky control pump, lines .... and the ISAC controller

We still sell the controller, the web page just isnt up any more. I still support them and am happy to answer any questions anyone has about the unit.

Thats laughable.. you do realize that price is just for the controller, right?

Non linear alcohol delivery, a built in boost controller, data logging and more. Its a very nice unit and does what it does very well and is reasonably easy to tune.

I really dig all that it delivers, but help and correspondence from this forum is more important to me than a unsupported vendor.

I understand the majority here favors the Alky control kit. And that says something to me.
I do like the idea of being different, but in this case not so much that i cant get support here.

Thanks Joe

I'm sorry but how much is this unit? I have forgotten all about it.

I think theyre around $359.00. It includes a wiring harness and a USB cable. The software and user manual are available here in the alcohol section.

No offense, but I thought he was looking at an EBay ad. I hadn't read about your set up in quite some time. I still think its way beyond what Joe is looking for. Joe and I text back and forth quite often and thought we had hashed this out. Apparently...he found this somewhere else.
My mistake

No worries.. the ISAC isnt for everyone. Its not real hard to tune but its not as simple as turning a knob.

Right you are Donnie, in fact i may need more help then i initially thought when it comes to tuning. Involving Alky into the mix is really going require some phone time, and or some track tuning with some help from the board.

Thanx Jay, i really do like what the isac offers.
Im truing not to get in over my head, i just cant leave anything alone. Another reason i love this board, i have a ton of questions and i really enjoy the research time needed. Be a bit of a noob to this is one thing, I'm sure i will have more treads some members wont agree with each other with. I never intend in creating a pissing match. Glad you guys are back on the same page.

Question, with things like the integrated boost controller and data logging capabilities, would i in tern need less data acquisition components? I like the idea of consolidating and weight saving.
Appreciate it Guys

Thanks Joe

The ISAC data logs without integrating with the stock ECM. It will log RPM, TPS, etc but most of the logging centers around tuning the alcohol delivery. The boost controller would replace having to buy a standalone boost controller tho.

It also will data log a wide band O2 sensor and use the wideband for adjusting alcohol delivery. It has some safe guards for alcohol system failures also. It's a pretty slick little unit.

here is the software and a sample logfile.

Its only running boost control in this log, but you can look at what it can do. (this is a customer's car, not mine)

Sounds great Jay.

Bob, with my little experience, what chip would you recommend making for me?
I'm using the 3.5" maf w/translator and the usual performance mods. Thanks

Thanks Joe

What mods? "The usual" is a pretty wide assortment... :)

Here is a shot of that log. You can see from the green trace that the ISAC is controlling some boost creep..
