Issue w/aux 1 output for shiftlite!

i hooked up a autometer shiftlite to the aux 1 output of my xfi box and it stays on while the engine is running...wtf? no matter where i put the tps & rpm points at it is always on. i tried aux output 2, which is tps & map, same thing...lite stays on. i know i have the lite wired correctly....+ straight to power, ground straight to the fast box. so am i missing a simple setup procedure here? cause i'm all out of tricks. And i think Cal has been busy for the last couple of days so i have not been able to get a hold of him. any help appreciated!
