Took the car out this weekend and at one point the drivers side was pulling when the brakes were applied but then things were OK after a couple of additional stops. Things are back to normal now, any ideas?

Did you bed the pads in after they were installed? Did one side get wet? Do the calipers slide freely on the pins? Have you checked for excessive bearing play in the front (can cause pad knockback)?

According to the mechanic everything looked normal. He has no explanation as to what the cause is after everything was replaced. I want him to fix the issue before I spend money all over again with someone else!

You better start learning to wrench on this thing yourself............or your gonna be going around in circles and hating the car.
Sounds like you've got lots to learn if ya don't know what bulb is used for a reverse light

Did you impress yourself with that comment? If you don't have anything constructive to say why not say nothing at all.

He thinks he's being helpful. The overall point is good, even if his delivery was crass. These things are old, but still complex. The first generation of what we now consider a modern car. Limited production, and a mishmash of GM corporate standard parts and BOP leftovers from the 1970s.

If you want it to work, you will have to learn the car yourself, or find a mechanic that is familiar with the cars.

for perspective, pick any generation of Porsche 911. There will be at least three times as many of those built as there are rear wheel drive Turbo Regals. This is a niche car that requires special care.

Not trying to impress anyone an certainly not you. Just saying, if you have to ask a board on what bulb replaces the backup light, when you can just simply pull the old one and read what # is on it.........well then.
Jesus, grow another layer. My "constructive" point is if you have to rely on a mechanic to tune and work on your TR, you'll go broke real quick
