Nice. GM has some real competition against the new Camaro.

I wonder what sort of "market adjustment" the stealers are adding to the V8 Challengers?

I have seen what I assume is the same one several times now on the freeway drive home. He/she is always going the opposite direction and about the same place.

The car looks really nice. In my humble opinion it is the best "retro" looking car out there as far as making it look the most like the original.

You don't want an '08, anyway.

The '09's will get a manual Transmission with a pistol grip and a Positraction Rear Axle (the '08 have neither).

And they will make all they can sell, vs. 6400 for the '08.

Also in '09 you can get a 370 HP regular Hemi with MDS that will get 8 mpg more on the highway with the manual than an '08 SRT8/auto for much less money.

The latest news on the Camaro is not good. There may not be one.

Ours is selling at sticker price. Due to show up monday while i'm on the power tour.

It's only draw back is that it's 4137 lBS. It is big for a pony car however.

Motor Trend compared it to the new Mustang Shelby GT500 and there's a significant difference in size and weight between the two. The Mustang kicked it's butt at the track.

If Dodge makes it that far. Read the buissiness section in the papers. Cerberbus is in the early stages of bailing out of the car biz. The Challenger may be the last great car to wear the Dodge name. It's going to be an interesting next 2 or 3 years.

I just heard a rumor circulating through my dealership. We are getting one of the first 09-10 Corvette ZR1s. Some joker already has a 6 figure deposit on it in escroll. And the dealer mark up is another 6 figures. That's at least $250K-$300K for a Chevy. Kind of makes the old days of $10K mark ups sound like $2 a gallon gas.

Where did you read that? Heck if anything they are keeping it. The base V-6 gets 30 MPG on the highway. Probably more by the time it hits the showroom. It's got to be a go. The assembly in Ontario is retooling to start building them as I write this. Don't confuse Ontario with the truck plant they are shutting down. There are three plants in Ontario. One truck. One Camaro and G8 and one for the current Impala,LaCrosse and GrandPrix.
