John, feedback on the cr?Id want Bison to have some insight.3/2 control valve mod.He is doing the same thing.

Chris, the CR is very lively and shifts at 6000 and could go 250 more if needed, combined with the 3/2 control valve mod is the best 2/3 shift I have experienced....
I think these latest mods have taken the 200 4 R to the next level..

What we are finding is that if it is a v8 calibrated core, the closer the axle ratio is to 3.42 from the donor valve body the later it will shift past the original BRF.The KC wont go as high as the CRF.This doesnt work with the OG though. They both need cutom mtv downshift valve springs to REALLY work ,but we now have had them made so all is well.Who would have thought you could have an auto shift valve body up to and slightly beyond 6000 rpms that would give on time part throttle upshifts and detent downshifts with low road speeds and governor pressures:biggrin: ? By the way ,the AA from a 3.42 axle car is the only one we are having luck with as far as 48 to 5200 rpm wot. There are many AA codes that are poor.I am trying to put together a master list and so far have 28 different types.

This is good news. Im looking for about 6300 at WOT.

I've got a CR valve body with a MCSS governor and mine wants to shift around 4900 WOT. What do I need to make it shift higher, say 5800-6000? What is the 3/2 control valve mod that is referred to?

The 88 cr is the best .there are others (cr) that dont shift as late.Im lucky I purchased 50 new 88 crfs
