hello people; How's your shaft working for you? With mine I seem to feel the front end more in vibration also more when I turn at highway speeds. How about you?

Bad steering dampers will cause what feels like a wheel about to come off. Replaced probably hundreds if not thousands of these over the last 12 years. Also, what kinds of turns are you doing at highway speeds? Sharp lefts? ;)

I am happy with the shaft I installed last winter. My car seems to hunt less after the change. Are your front end parts in good shape?

hello people; The turns I'am talking about are more right turns taking on and off ramps. And with the front end I just got a sticker and he did lift the front end to ck. the balljoints and they where good but I think I'll have to pay mo money for a real complete ck. of the FE.

GNeric could you tell me more on those steering dampers as I've never heard of it before. Maybe it's called something else?
How's life in NM? It's been a hot summer here in Mass.

The steering damper is the shock absorber looking unit that mounts horizonally to keep the steering from jolting left to right. Last one I replaced was about 6 months ago on a '95 and the moment you reached 45mph, the steering would act like it was turning left to right faster than a front tire that was separated. Got a new one and the Jeep drives like brand new.

Southern NM is ok. Hot with a decent amount of humidity right now and it feels worse at work. Metal building with very little insulation in the ceiling.

He's asking about a Jeep steering shaft with u-joints that he put on his GN to replace the rag joints. No steering stabilizer on a GN.
