Jeep Steering Shaft Upgrade

Can you please explain to me what is the upgrade. I am doing some winter downtime work on my car and may put this on the list of parts in the closet to install. Is this stronger, shorter...provide a different effect or what is the gain on one of these as I am not sure? Thank you

So it's a direct bolt in , or will the steering wheel no longer look centered after install?

I lock the steering wheel then disconnect the shaft. It can only go on one way since the shafts are splined.
