I used Joe's chip when I ran the TE-44 and blue tops. I had him tweak it several times and was able to get an 11.08 as a best. My opinion is that it was a great chip.

I have a 55 chip and love it EXCEPT it spools so damn quick. HA HA This causes tires to break loose when boost comes in. Sometimes I wish it didn't spool so quick but I love it. I also run alky and keep hearing about the great other Alky chips out there but I like this one so muck, I'm hesitant to switch. I

thats what i wanted to hear budy on the treads got some injectores chip and a te44 hes not to far from were i am and and he also has headers so i might take all that stuff off his hands and get my car up to speed

I had joe do a chip for my 38# injectors and had a nice idle, I got up to 108 mph in the quarter.

THE single worst chip I ever bought/ used !!!!!!! Also found him to be totally unwilling to make any changes. So much for customer satisfaction.

FWIW, steer clear of him and use a Turbo Tweak chip.

I have to reply. I didn't like the TC lockup mph and called Joe and he sent me a new chip with the mph I asked for. I still have the old one too. Now this was about 3-4 years ago but service back then was outstanding. But then again people say Cal's customer service is great too. Quite a few people will argue that point. So I guess different people have different opinions. I'd call and talk to Joe as you might want something modified on the chip you get.

the chip is just a small part in the hole set up im getting from him worse commes to worse i can get a tt chip if im not happy for 85 bucks and have it burn to my set up ei if i decide to add alky

Nothing wrong with Joe's chips.

Whats that supposed to mean? Unlike most of the people that post in this thread, I actually know whats inside a chip so Id say Im a pretty good judge of what sucks and what doesnt.

In case you've forgotten what the thread is about, it reads, " good bad whats opinion ", and that's exactly what I provided based on actual personal experience with the Joe Lubrant chip as well as having dialogued with Lubrant about his chip.

If the fact that I personally found that the Joe Lubrant to be an INFERIOR chip to the Turbo Tweak chip, then too bad if that somehow contradicts and runs counter to your "expertise" as to what you know to be inside the chip and your self aggrandizing declaration of, "I'm a pretty good judge of what sucks and what doesn't " !

That's the reality, so maybe you should put your ego aside and deal with it !

Its too bad you consider it "inferior" because your not comparing apples to oranges.

Dont know what my ego has to do with Joe's chips. Joe has a good understanding of how all the tables work together and how to set cars up to go fast. If you couldnt go fast with his chip, dont know what to tell you. Maybe it wasnt the chip but then your ego wouldnt know anything about that, huh?

wow ok so this went from every ones 2 cents on a chip burner to to some ones ego probleme if you really wanna know im and electronic mechanical engineer for the canadian military vehicles no and officer i work for a living i under stands the inner working of a chip and all the tables that need to go togeter and work hand in had to have a well functioning vehicle my question wasnt either with joe or eric burns the best chips im asking if is this chip a good idee or should i wait on a a tt chip im asking cuz i dont know either of the dudes and i had never herd about of a joe lubrant chip and i dint wanna end up with a fly by night ebay special making my car run worse then with stock chip stock injectors and stock turbo

Joe made good chips. The only downfall is they are not adjustable like the TT chips are now. I used to get chips from Joe for $30. Hard to beat that :)

eh yeah and i was basicaly just planning on putting car togeter and leaving it as is i was hoping on the less tunning needed but on the other hand i would like to do alky with a tt chip im just thinking of all my options ei how streetable will both set ups be and such

You definitely seem hung up on the "fast" aspect, although I never made mention of this at anytime when referring to Joe Lubrant and his chip!

Did it ever occur to you that there could possibly be other reasons/ factors besides your " fast" factor, that could possibly render a chip inferior to another ? Apparently not !
Maybe the reality is you aren't nearly as knowledgeable as you think you are about chips despite your " I actually know whats inside a chip so I'd say I'm a pretty good judge of what sucks and what doesn't". What an ego!
