Now if he would just confess to the Hollaway murder so at least that poor family can have closure.:( He isn't going to last too long in a Peru prison. Justice is going to be served up Dahmer style. Some inmate is going to carry out the death sentence he deserves. Don't think he is going to get any special protection in the Peru prison system.

It looks like he may get life in prison instead of the standard 20 to 35 years for murder since they've said robbery was the motive for him killing her.

When he goes to trial for this he won't have a jury,a judge will decide if he's gilty or not and will decide what the sentence will be.

It couldn't happen to a more deserving guy. :D

On June 7, 2010, Van der Sloot confessed to killing Flores Ramírez.[72] According to an expert in Peruvian law, the confession fits a defense strategy of trying to get the charge reduced to manslaughter, which is punishable by 6 to 20 years in prison, while a conviction for murder could result in up to 35 years imprisonment.[73] Peru does not issue life sentences in standard cases of murder and has abolished capital punishment in all but exceptional circumstances, such as crimes committed under military law.[74][75] However, a life sentence can be issued for a murder committed during the commission of a robbery.[76]

Not so tuff!

This dirtbag is already trying to get out of the most notorious jail in Peru!
FOXNews.com - Van Der Sloot Willing to Tell Where Holloway's Buried in Exchange for Transfer to Aruba

I'd bet his "wedding night" w/ Carlos and Jose' were a determining factor in him making his request!!:D
Aruba says: "sorry, we don't have an agreement w/ Peru, to make this swap"!!

Hopefully, the judge is a friend of the girl's family!;)

IDEA!! Teach the inmates how to do a waterboard session. Video and sound in the cell, and turn them loose! The inmates that get the info get an early release.

They have said it will be 4 to 5 months before he goes to trial and they are going to keep him in a cell by himself because they are affraid the other prisoners will seriously injure or kill him.

I bet once the trial is over and he is put out in the general population of that prison, his jail sentence is going to be very very short.

This is some of what he told his mother when she came to visit him last week in Peru.

Joran told his mother crying Monday that he was being interrogated under reasonably barbaric conditions

:D Tough guy ain't so tough now.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Have fun in the pokey hotel!

Bend over and touch your toes, I'm gonna show you where the wild goose goes!
