Has anyone used a JS Safeguard ESC control box with a waste spark ignition?

Not many people use this, because of cost issues, which makes no sense, because the cost of repairs could be 3 times the cost of the box. These links will keep you busy for a while... is about the stock gn ecu and how it works or ther is the JS tech.

I'll bet the repair implications are greater than 3x. Also except for material fatigue, you can occasionally run a cast crank into the 10's and live to fight another day. There were people at the BPG running cast cranks and XFI (quite a few passes) and were a little haughty about it. The crankshaft bean counter may call the markres in at any time.I have a cast shortblock but it is as massaged as one can get.I used the Buick Power Source manual for specs and processes.

Norbs another issue with using the JS Safeguard is the wiring.I have to splice into the 3 coil module leads and run those to the esc box, then back to the coil leads. It can be done but I'm stepping up the wire gage so primary coil voltage to the coils is not lost. JS Safeguard will have to identify the correct signal locations on the esc box for me.I looked at the powertrain wiring mech and there is no other way that I can see to do this.

MSD used to sell a coil adapter for what you need to do, it is now discontinued, but sometimes they pop up here for sale or on ebay. As long as you dont mix up the in/out channels the box will work the way it is designed.

No I dont have it , ask, Cal or Fast.
