JUnk yard treasure

Well took a trip to the junk yard today with my buddy. looking for a trunk lid for his 1986 olds 442. and he told me the local junk yard had one. so we get there and find the car in a maze of cars. finally after 20 min of walking we find it. well no key to open the trunk so we pop the lock and long and behold in the trunk is a mint center console for a grand national complete with shift face plate. i told him thats mine and i grabbed it. payed $$ ( i wont tell ) and left with a grand national center console. took it home and cleaned it up. so you never no what lerks in a junk yard....

Good find man. Went to a boneyard one time with a friend and found a pair of '57 Plymouth bumper wings totally by chance. He paid 20 bucks for them and later sold them on fleabay for 500 bucks. 95% of the time all the good stuff is taken, but you never know what you might stumble across.

yea i got it for $15... gonna put it in my car this weekend and sell the old one. its in good shape as well

yea. its a total find man. for all i know there could have been a body in that trunk. but instead there was a center console

Not positive but it looks like the very bottom skirting piece is missing? Should be another piece below the center chrome strip.

Either way great deal!!!!

hey james its me ray... yeah its got the chrome stip on it on both sides hard to tell though since my camera is crappy. but its all together i can assure you that.. thats why im taking the one out of mine thats in good shape but the chrome is chipped. and replacing it with this one. but all in all a good find. and i will let him know about the parts you got. hes looking for the seats at the moment is it ok if i give him your number.
