A BIG High 5 twin!!!! Thats too cool!! Lets see some pics now!!!

Thanks.....

Like I said, pic's will be a little tough as they are in storage. I'll see what I can do.

DissT,
You are correct, I own a small car dealership. Was a Plumber for 10 years and wanted to do what I love.........something with cars. I'm not rich by any means. I've always worked 6-7 days a week(still do) and actually didn't really care about saving money too much. Been a Blue collar guy all my life and proud of it. I spent it all on cars and toys. Don't have any regrets. Always worked hard and played to the extreme. Just now getting into a little real estate investments.

Not to hijack the thread but would it be showing off if I posted pics of my latest...an 87. My first intercooled car and my 6th TR to date??? I'm pretty proud that I finally got a car that I don't have to start fixing up. It's beautiful and ready to run and only sits 6 days out of the week. :D

Working 18hrs aday for 4yrs and making over 120K still dont get me any GNX's but then again ,way way over rated for my blood..
Hope you go onto own many more so they will be preserved correctly..

Personally, I don't see the point of owning a car and not driving it. They were built for a purpose and it wasn't to look pretty in an air tight facility monitored by armed guards 24/7. Nice choice of car though.

The only "purpose" cars are built for is to make a profit for the manu.'rs!!!!!

What happens to them after that is in the hands of the public.Luckily there are some who chose to preserve them in the most pristine state they can.I have been on both sides of the fight on this one and currently have a GNX in my garage that will hopefully stay on the pristine side for many years to come.

Some people enjoy looking at and preserving cars more than driving them sometiimes.

Details Details, mods/price/miles cmon man your killing me here.

OK, Ok, DissT... pretty much mint condition car. 9 year old paint. Perfect interior. .030" over 3.8 with billet mains. Razor's Alky, forged J&E pistons, GN1's, 224,224 roller cam. 83# injectors, ported intake, RJC power plate, 70mm throttle body, MaxEffort-R, ScanMaster, F-body radiator, dual fans, Vigilante 3200, Lonnie Diers trans, Hurst shifter. Turbo is a hybrid--close to 70mm compressor wheel. V2 front mount, TH downpipe, getting my drag radials this coming Friday. Haven't been to the track yet but this car is a monster. Still tuning on the ME and only drive the car on Fridays, so it's taking a bit. :D Car looks like it has 20,000 miles or so. Odometer reads just over 103,000. Always garaged. Paid $15,000 for her and worth every penny.

Here's some more pics. :D

Well, guns are made for shooting, and have probably less "artistic" and more "utilitarian" functions to them than a car. But if you ahd a 150yr old six-shooter from the old west, you probably wouldnt shoot it every time you went to the range. Why? cuz it could blow up, or soemthing could happen to it, and then you will have destroyed a peice of history that cant be replaced. So maybe you runn a round or two through every blue moon, just to see that it can, but for the most part its value comes from its rarity and its historical or sentimental significance, not being able to shoot it. For many people, the value of a car like a GNX comes from the same things, and its not worth putting the routine wear and tear on it, or especially taking the risk of a car rear ending it, or worse. My grandpa tracked down and bought the studebaker he gave my grandma their first kiss in as a present on their 5th anniversary. Ever since then, he never drove it, and kept it garaged except for a drive every year on the anniversary from their house to the place where they first kissed (bout 3 miles round trip). Was this car wasted since it was hardly driven, and kept in a garage most of its life? I dont think so. If the guy buys a car, its his to do whatever he wants with. If that means preserving it for future generations, then more power to him... id rather that than see him chop it up and turn it into a racecar like i saw some guy do to a true split-window vette recently.

Couldn't have said it any better myself.

The majority of wealthy people are wealthy because they respect money. They are usually the guys who still use coupons, and shop around to find the best price on something. They wait till the price is right instead of rushing into fulfilling a whim. They invest wisely and stay away from get rich quick scemes. They build their fortunes slowly. Its a fact that wealthy people are much less wasteful than people with less money. The guys with less money stay that way cause every time a new plasma screen comes out, they have to have it. A new plasma screen TV comes out with a better remote control than the last one, so they toss the old one in the garbage and buy the new one. They throw money away like used toilet paper. My wife is one of these people. Im a cheap ass, yet stay broke all the time cause of who Im married to. Before I met her, I made a measly 20k a year, (this is chump change in southern california) yet I had a new GSX750 Katana, a new Nissan 240SX, a really clean honda CRX I bought for my old girlfriend. I had credit cards that were always paid off every month. I had an AMEX card, and even an AMEX business card even though I didnt even have my own business. I always had money in the bank. My credit was totally flawless. It was because i could make 15 dollars last a week. A year after meeting my wife and letting her take over the finances, I was broke, in debt, my credit ruined even though I was making 3 times what I made before. I was working mad overtime and my wife offered to take the bills over cause I didnt have time for it. What a horrible mistake. Habitual waste and disrespect of money can destroy people. People who can properly manage their money and grow, year after year, i have alot of respect for. So twinvipers- enjoy yourself. Youve earned it.

Very Nice Stable.

Real Estate is Leveling Off a Tad.

Musclecars are Big. Good Choice!

Thanks. I can't wait to see what she can do. I don't want to put in a cage so I'll see what she runs at what boost and keep her right on the edge of roll cage requirements. :D Unless a certain Viper around here runs his mouth again and wants some. ;)

Nice find twinvipers. I remember sitting in and looking at the GNX that was at Parson's Buick in Plainville CT. It was early 1988 and i was 11 years old. My father was the new car manager there (now general saels manager). I stared at that car for hours. They wound up selling it to another dealer for $29k in the spring of 1988. Lol, ill take 10 at that price please. i still have pics of that car from the day they received it. Im not sure what number it was but i will try to find out this week. You can never have enough GNX's or turbo cars in general.
