Woohooo!!:D
Excellent special FX and better than the 2nd one!!!

Alright if u havent seen the movie dont read past this sentence!!!

I personally thought the movie was a real downer. Yes the battle scenes and CGI were down right amazing but the end was so confusing i left the movie theatre with 3 other friends and we were all doing the same thing while getting up, shaking our heads and scratching them at the same time. There are just so many things that flew straight over my head i couldnt even try to puzzle together what the heck was going on.

#1 Neo dies by Mr. Smith alright, but how nothing was inflicted upon him, what after all his unknown powers Mr. Smith just flat out beat him up, come on do better than that. I also thought the fight scene between the two was alittle dragged on and the fighting in the sky were one punches the other and 15 seconds later they get to meet again, cripes i would rather watch molasses race to the finish line.

#2 So Mr. Smith just beats up Neo and then what, he has all his clones just standing there like a bunch of cult followers and Mr. Smith is all pissed of because of what? That he finally beat up Neo and no has no reason for existing in the matrix?

#3 Where the heck does the oracle come into play in the final fight, everything is done, neo is dead and all of a sudden there lying in the water is the Oracle, explain that to me? Then all of a sudden at the very end u see the Oracle, the body guard, and the kid, they say they will see Neo again, ok fine the war has happened 6 times before like the second movie said but this time was different (i guess) so now what?

#4 How does Neo strike a bargain with the source into trading human life for Mr. Smith, OK Mr. Smith took control of the Matrix and the source wanted him out of it, so all the machines are just going to lay down and say stop, cant we all get along.

#5 This is thinking past a movie that left things way open but here goes. Alright the source tells the Oracle at the end that he will free all the people stuck in the Matrix, but isnt that the machines power source, wouldnt that kill the source itself? How could the humans and machines cohabitat, what the machines get monday, wednesday, and friday above ground, then the humans get tuesday, thursday, and the weekends? The machines were designed to hunt and kill humans for what other purpose could u all of a sudden just hug and build with each other.

#6 alright so Neo and Trinity are dead. I hate to say this being a man but i would have liked to see alittle bit happier ending but hey u cant expect that from the directors, the movie was already to deep to just give into something so lame as a happy ending.

OVERALL I WASTED $4 SEEING A MOVIE THAT WAS GOOD BUT THE ENDING WAS RIGHT UP THERE WITH A ME SAYING, ANOTHER GOOD TRILOGY ENDED WITH A SH!T ENDING. Hey like i read before seeing the movie, at least we have the 3rd installment of Lord Of The Rings to look forward to:D

Boy you were lost..lol
Mr Smith did not beat Neo. The Machines who control the matrix did - thru Neo. Neo offered himself to the machines so he can be plugged into them and when MR Smith tried taking over neo the machines can destroy Mr Smith, thus neo dies in the process, which he expected..

That was not the Oracle in the water, it was neo as he viewed him self as being human.

The Architect would free only those that wanted to be freed, not all of them so it's a win-win for the machines and humans.

I also am tired of sad endings...:(

Since neo was a mathimatical Anomaly made up of random floating programs within the matrix there is a chance that it can happen all over again, albeit a distant one..

Movie Rocked.

#1 Kevins explained this

#2 Mr. Smith has 'possessed' the oracle therefore he somewhat has her ability to see the future possibilitys and realizes he is going to lose. Thats why he's upset and scared.

#3 Mr. Smith has 'possessed' the oracle. When he is destroyed she and all the other programs he 'possessed' are freed. This whole thing was a gambit played by the oracle to get out of the cycle of death they had created and try something new. Peace. She even created Smith. Remember when he referred to her as mother and she was sitting there waiting for him. She set all events in motion and manipulated everyone. As for Neo returning, he's come back from the dead before also his spirit could still be in the matrix. Remember he could jack in without the wires.

#4 Why not. That was the agreement. If the source doesn't agree then the smith program which wants the destruction of everything might take over and destroy all the machines

#5 No. The architect says he will free all those that want to be freed. Meaning the ones like neo that haven't accepted the matrix. Well peace is kind of a funny thing maybe they could help the machines to clear the skys and renew their power source and be able to free all humans. There was alot of references in the movie to the neccesitys of humans and machines working together.

#6 I agree. The ending was sad but you have to remember what that chick told Neo that such things were not meant to last. Kinda ironic.

I thought it was a good flick myself but to each their own.

So do you think that was neo lying in the water or the oracle? It was difficult for me to tell so I thought it was neo as I described above..

nah it was the oracle

If you remember the seen where smith takes over the oracle remember how he was kinda laughing insanely and the other smiths were kinda looking at him like WTF!. The smith that the oracle became kinda seemed to be the leader at that point. The oracle laying in the water was just the smith neo was fighting turned back into the oracle. Neo should have been out of the picture because he got unjacked. Could still be in there somewhere though.

Yep, I remember and my buddy also says it was the oracle. I never thought about what happens to the individual when smith dies I thought they disappeared since they are all "programs"...:p

THANKS ALOT FOR THE CLARIFICATION.

Like many people who see it they are confused at first but give them acouple of hours with their subconsious working out all the kinks and all of a sudden WHAM the light bulb goes on and everything is clear. I didnt say i hated the movie overall, the movie was very good overall but i wanted a happy ending like most people and it didnt happen.

Bens87tr Great. A third sh1tty movie. Hopefully this is the last one

ok i havent seen the 3rd but the 1st was a good movie
2nd was iffy... didnt like it too much
still neither were sh!tty

OVERALL I WASTED $4 SEEING A MOVIE THAT WAS GOOD BUT THE ENDING WAS RIGHT UP THERE WITH A ME SAYING, ANOTHER GOOD TRILOGY ENDED WITH A SH!T ENDING.

4$
geez that is cheap
all the movie thetres by me are 8$
and yes all good trilogies must end terribly
must be a rule of the directors

Was the ending really that bad? As was said before, if you haven't seen the movie yet (and you didn't read previous postings to spoil it either) then stop reading. now!

The war ended (for now) and the fact that Neo & Trinity die isn't that big of a deal to me (everyone dies eventually, right?) It's funny to me the way "cinematic license" lets characters suffer mortal wounds that let them live just long enough to say all the last words that they want to say - as opposed to getting killed instantly, or continuing to live even as long as 1 minute or more after finally finishing whatever it happened to be that they wanted to say!:p

I was kinda hoping that Neo would discover that the "real" world would actually turn out to be a "2nd" matrix. How else would he have the power to knock out Sentinels, etc in the "real" world? If that was the real world, then mathematical anomolies would be irrelevant. Neo would NOT be able to have any power in the real world! If he had been blinded, he would not have been able to "see" any of the "energy" that he could, in a very Matrix-like fashion, as well as be "jacked in" without actually BEING "jacked in." But in this case, the answer is simple - that is the way the script writer chose to write the story.

I sort of liked the new idea that you can't see beyond a choice you don't understand, but was kinda dissapointed that the Oracle wasn't as powerful/omniscient as she was portrayed to be in M1.

Refresh my memory about when Neo was jacked in w/o actually being wired in? (When he was at the "train station?") And then how would you jack someone out if they weren't jacked in, in the first place? Being at the train station seems like being "half jacked?" I mean, the trainmaster can pass between the Matrix and his rail network (along with Morpheous and Trinity) and has so much power that he can land a solid punch without Neo having any ability to react to it? And Neo forced himself into the train station by knocking out the sentinels? but then exited through the train, back to the Matrix and then unjacked into the "real world?"

I felt like they came close to making some good suggestions about "God" (as they portrayed the "Architect" in M2) although they didn't go any further with it in M3 - but I guess the script was up to someone else, huh?

It was interesting to me the way Smith started talking, saying "yes, you were laying right there, and then I say..." b/c it reminds myself sometimes of the way I experience "deja vue"

On an interesting note, Smith becomes like a virus himself(inserting himself into others) and replicating his number in this manner. Remember in M1 when Smith is talking to/interrogating Morpheous about humans not being mammals, but humans being more like a virus?

What other trilogies did you not like the way they ended?
