I've had ATR, Q boost, & RJC-all being manual

But this electronic one is the BOMB

First, very easy install-pretty much plug n play

Records highest boost

Warns you of your boost limits you set & than reduces boost by % you set

Allows to to have 2 different settings of boost(hi/lo) so you can flip/flop in a nano second

Spool-up is INCREDIBLE, you can set it up as fast or as slow as you want

Its small/compact-it lights-up & no more adjusting under the hood.

I purchased this from a member on this board for $200

Did the install today w/Razor(Julio) aka www.alkycontrol.com

Now I know why he uses this unit-wish I found out sooner-would have saved a motor

I highly recommend this to everyone, check Ebay

I love mine also. I have the wireless remote switch on the steering wheel and can switch from 14.5 # boost to 24# with a touch of a button.
Rock steady Boost. ANd you can play with the spool up characteristics with a touch of your fingers right from the drivers seat. It is the perfect compliment to a Trans + and Extender.

is that one of the stupid rice looking ones with the super bright blue lights and all the other crap or something that looks good enough to have in our cars?

i've looked at some of them, really liked the features but didn't do it because it looked like rice stuff.

I don't think its rice at all. I love mine, and I have friends with other turbo cars that use them as well.
The thing flat rocks! Only thing I wish it did was allow you to set boost as a psi instead of a duty cycle for the solenoid.

Interesting. I'll have to see how my BstC holds up when I ugrade my turbo this year. Seems to work ok for now...

Does that system come with a solenoid?

Does it work with the stock wastegate system?

yeah give us the specs and any pics of install if possible... im pretty interested in something like this.. the old manual just isnt cutting it anymore.. plus its scary dangerous staring at the boost guage while turning my little knob up... would much rather flip a switch and focus on more important things... like the road... and the other guy.... hopefully behind me

It does come with a solenoid, and is compatable with the stock wastegate. Truely, a quality piece, which has it's own internal 3 bar---Taffy sells these. Brian

MORE INFO

yes yes we all need more info i was thinking of one of those and maybe a turbo timer has anyone installed one either was staying away because of rice rockets:confused:

I thought the same thing as being rice of the name GReddy, but that isn't the case-
The functuality of the unit is so necessary for our cars-its all about controlling boost & it does it so well right in the cockpit of your car
The solenoid sits right were the stock one sits (valve cover, they both sit together nicely)
The two vaccuum hoses (wastegate & turbo) connects to the 2 ports of the solenoid, solenoid has a plug n play harness which is fed thru firewall to unit.
I mounted the unit right under the dash w/velcro

After owning a few turbo buicks-This unit is a MUST
It will prevent over boost, controll boost & spooling
Need I say more??
FRED

PS- You need to get over this "rice" thing
I'm 50 yrs. young & the last thing i would do is add rice!

Hey quit giving secrets away..

:D

Almost in the sliced bread category ;)
