yea i hear ya on that, the sound of the turbo winding up sure does turn heads real quick. Then everyone and their mother wants you to burn it out, sorry but i'm not going to beat my woman into the ground. Don't get me wrong i'm sure once i get alittle more info on it and some time behind the wheel i'll be ok. But for now, i'll just smile and wave back. I just came back from the texas mile about a month ago and said i'd return with a car i can run there. But i don't know this car that well but maybe by oct when the next one comes around i will be there being more then a spectator. Also where is redline in plano, i know where plano is but not too familuar with it.

yeah i was always NA smallblock chevy... My other rides were leased, never cracked the hood, got this and was like playing catch up to 20yr old technology.

Welcome to the board and the club of TB owners.

As others have said, read. And this board has a ton of info. I bought my car back in October, 08. I knew what the cars were and had been wanting one for a loooong time. But I didn't know much about the workings of them. Lucky for me, this place has a great search feature that I have come close to wearing out probably. :D That and a friend of mine locally has been building these cars for years and he helps me a out a LOT. So I am doing all I can to learn as much as I can.

The vendors here are awesome. So are the people. I have honestly found the Turbo Buick community to be one of the best car communities I have ever been involved with.

Again, welcome and sorry for the long-winded reply. Apparently pot of coffee number three just kicked in.

thanks for the warm welcome fella's and any ladies. The last post has the black rims on it and i really like those. I'm taking the fat wides off the back but with time. I'm not in a big hurry, just got sensatrac shocks for the rear and a 2 way alarm. I'm not trying to do alot with it right now, i just changed the title and little things. I will be looking for carpet because there is a bad spot on the drivers side. But other then that I'm happy with it, feels like a lead brick going down the road. Wonder if anyone has had some front or rear sway bars and what affect they had. Big differance, so so, i have no plans on getting rid of it and besides there is a line of relatives now coming out of the woodwork ( like i won the lottery or something ) that will be wanting me to will it to them. Funny how stuff like that works out sometimes.

Congrats on the purchase! Looks like you found what you were looking for within your budget - awsome!

it looksl like you're local here in the DFW area so I highly recommend you join the Lone Star Performance Buick Club. I believe I posted a link in one of your other threads, but here it is again: Lone Star Performance Buick Club Online

Hope to see you at an event soon!

thanks, i'll be checking out the page soon. I know the more contacts i make will really help. I really love the attention i get in it, it's got the y exhaust before the flow with a cap and i can run it either way. i put it on today and love the fact that it's so quiet. Can't even hear the turbo winding up. I really didn't push it but man let me complain about one thing, the Alky setup, i'm already low or so the display shows. I put 3/4's a gallon in it and only pushed the button on the SCM fuel management box. I took it easy this evening, went out after i put on some monroe shocks on it that were the sensatrac. it's got some real wide tires on it now but i'd prefer a thinner rear as these run alittle if i hit a not so freindly road. It has a read stabilizer bar on it and after the shock install i could really tell the differance. I just wanted to know if there was a front one i can install on the shock towers?

take it easy and i'll try and make the next meeting just to see what's up and meet the club.

thanks for the invite
