This car was delivered to me about 4 hours ago. I traded a member on here for a 62 Nova that I miss pretty bad. The buick is super confusing to me and to be honest, I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it yet. It needs some work here and there, and Im about to drop $2300 on a transmission, but Im hoping once things start coming together, I can get some momentum building toward my excitement for this car.

Anyway, here she is:

And her insides:

It looks like a great start to a fun car.:) I hate to warn you, but it's gonna get addictive...and expensive.

It looks pretty good inside and out.

Is that a liquid intercooler in there?

You must really be turbo buick hungry,40,000 dollar car for a 15,000 one that needs a 2300 dollar tranny, that math doesnt add up.

You never get what you put into a car. If you ever need to sell your car, you'll see. it's just the way things work with modified cars.

Looks fine to me. Keep an eye out on that Power master. I had two of them go out on my on the I-5 in rush hour traffic!
In fact, you'd do well to change the fluid asap. Looks dark to me.

One other thing... Looks like the car is parked outside at an apartment complex. If you'd like to maintain ownership of the car for more than a few more days I suggest you find a garage to park in.

I'm changing all the fluids before I drive it. I have a garage and even then if it's parked outside, I'm not too worried. I live in a gated country club type community. We have roving security everywhere.

Don't forget to check the rear diff. (everyone does.)

Regardless of the gated community please be mindful of where you park and try not to leave her unattended. There's tons of horror stories of theft. These cars are very popular for thieves and super easy to steal. Not trying to scare you or anything but this is not some car that you can just leave outside and unattended. Just a friendly heads up.

Maybe I'm a bit nervous but Imtend to back into my parking spaces wherever I go. Logic is that it'll take a flatbed or drag the car in park with e-brake engaged out to snag the rear wheels with a little wheel dragger.

It doesn't matter how you park. If they want it, they can take it.

I have a friend who is a repo-man. He can take a car parked sideways, secured in a gated lot and even with other cars backed against it. (They're VERY creative and have some very cool tools)
If you want to keep the car, keep it in your sight when you're around and out of sight when you're not. I've had one stolen already and know of countless others who have had their cars taken. Some right out of their driveways-while they were home!!

Small update:
The Stage III EA transmission went in and the car is driveable again. It made 475whp as it sits...and then I decided that wasnt good enough.

I bought a Garrett T04R 67mm turbo to replace the Precision TE64. It's just barely bigger but the new turbo is ball bearing with a .70 A/R housing vs. .60 A/R on the Precision. It's also got a slightly larger turbine housing and was super cheap, but because it has a 4" inlet, I had to get a new intake so I bought a 4" cold air intake, LS1 MAF and translator.

I also picked up a nice rear suspension setup with new cargo springs, UMI adjustable control arms, and QA1 shocks.

I also am working on getting the interior back into good shape with new upholstery, head liner, A pillars, and center console.

Lastly I picked up a set of Champion Billet wheels. All in all, the car is coming together well.

Oh, I have a Reds Double Pumper ready to go in as well.

With the 475whp, how much boost and what was the timing set at? What was the injector duty cycle? Race gas, pump gas, alky?

I don't have any of that info other than it was 93 octane pump gas with alky and 25psi of boost. The previous owner put it on the dyno a few weeks before I got it and sent me the information and video.

With the changes you have made you "should" see a gain but I would turn down boost and timing and set a baseline for all those changes. Check to see what chip you have and what timing it was burned for. The numbers were good but you have no clue if it was pushed soft or hard to produce those numbers. I'm glad to see that you are making the car your own and making good progress. Just take it down and turn it up slow as these cars are unforgiving when turned up on a unknown tune. Hopefully you can get it to the track to feel the suspension out too. Keep us updated on the progress.

The chip is a 5.7 TT chip burnt for pump gas/ alky on a 66mm turbo at 22-25psi. I didn't see timing numbers, but I'm having a new chip burnt soon and will specify everything. I've had the car almost 4 months now and I've put almost 40 miles on it and haven't been over 70mph yet lol. It's tempting, but I want everything to be good for the car before I start jumping the gun.
