Wow what a difference, this machine blows any windows machine I've had away.... Got the wife a MacBook a year ago, I never used it much then my Desktop got a trojan from my wireless AP dashboard website that slipped past my AVG av..took forever to get it removed and had to purchase other software to get it off, then machine never performed well again..so to hell with windows..did the switch got Windows office for iMac so I can still write work related documentation in Word, do spreadsheets, etc..I'm set!

3+ years free of Windows, for searching the web and forum use the little Mini has been perfect.

I made the switch to an iMac myself. I like it; when it work; I have a problem with the wifi. A page won't load, then I turn the wifi off then back on again and the page will load. Apple can't figure it out. I like the computer and how clean it looks on the desk; but this problem sucks for what I have in this thing.

You might try looking into the wifi hardware you are using, such as the wireless router support or googling the issue for the brand of wireless router you are using. I used to be in the business of creating localized wireless networks at marinas, rv parks, etc, and at one point there was an issue with the firm-ware on the wireless access points we were using that would prevent certain version of the Apple OS from communicating effectively. When researching the problem I found a lot of Apple users had similar problems with their iPads.

Email setup on this thing couldn't be any easier, have all of my accounts now all on one screen, no more switching around to various accounts for work, personal business, and social/friends email accounts, and wife's accounts too all in one.

I am a firm believer of mac compouters all I use at home & work as does my wife....my skills are quite limited I actually have two of the older models has the 1/2 bubble base with aflexible flat screen...got the one off ebay 3 years ago for $150 a super value.

new ones I know are even better....

I've had my iMAC for over four (or is it five??...) years now and never will go back to a "pc" again! ;)

Claude. :)

I also own a Imac and love it but after the last update my Imac will not join my wifi network automatically. mine and my friends are both having the same issue after update. i hope they fix it with another update in the near future.

I am on my second Macbook now, I love them so much. My very first computer like 15 years ago was a mac and then I used windows up until about 5 years ago when I switched for graphic design, no plans on ever going back to windows.

I finally had enough of the PC crap and made the switch to a MacBook Air. I wish I had pulled the trigger on this upgrade years ago. Freeze ups, 10 minutes to boot up completely, viruses, malware, etc, etc are now a thing of the past - this thing boots up and is ready to go in seconds and is way faster - especially with the solid state hard drive. It is different and I'm still learning my way around in a few areas but once you get your brain around it it's really not that much different. I have boot camp running Windows 7 on a partition of the hard drive so I can turn it into a PC at any time needed. Still have plenty of PCs to deal with at work though.......

I went with a MacbookPro when the first Intel chipset went into it about 6 years ago. I bought my wife a MacbookPro for Christmas 2010. I cant say enough about how well these things perform. Mine has not ever had a virus and now I dont have to fix the wifes PC anymore !!! Speed and reliability. Make the switch...what are you waiting for? :D

hello; Local TV had a brief pc. on how Macs are made in China. They hylighted one women whos job was to deburr the apple logo. She has never seen a end product. They showed it to her and she was wide eyed amazed. She been there for years.
I don't think it was for a laptop. I think it was for ther phone or some other hi-tech pc.

Yeah that is unfortunate how most electronics are made with that kind of labor. It's not just apple, but Dell, HP, Toshiba, etc. The media will pick on Apple because they have the most earnings, there is a reason for that, and that reason is one that microsoft doesn't have a clue about. Until America gets a little tougher on companies that are based here but not building here, it will continue to happen and the masses continue to demand cheaper products rather than to pay a little extra to have jobs and things built here.

I was converted once I got an IPhone. If apple can make the most iconic phone ever on the first try then i new they had to make a great computer. We have a MacBook pro and love it. I love the touch pad and how it makes surfing the Internet so effortless. PC stands pretty crappy to me.
