Hello, my name is Jason and I’m new to this forum. I don’t own a turbo Buick yet, but I do have a 3.8L engine with a turbo. I drive a Grand Prix GTP, with the S/C replaced with a PT-61 and an air-to-air I/C.
I would also like to add water/alcohol injection and figured this site would be a good source for information.
I haven’t done a lot of searching on this site yet, but hope to determine:
1. What is the best pump to use?
2. What nozzle(s) should be used?
3. How much more boost can people typically run using water/alcohol injection?
4. Would I be better off spraying the water/alcohol over the I/C, instead of into the engine?
Note:
· Currently, I run 13 PSI with the electronic cutout closed and 15 PSI with the cutout open
· I have a large block off plate where the super charger snot use to be, so I have lot of room for multiple nozzles
I also have a Flowjet pump, which I’m willing to return, if there is something better. Pump specs:
· 12V
· 7 A
· 2.1 GPM
· 70 PSI
· Model: 2100-573
· Minimum nozzle size: 0.094” (last two digits of nozzle will end with 15)
I’m not sure what the car will run yet, but I plan to go to the track tonight – I hope to get a time and speed that’ s respectable for a FWD family sedan.
