We'll start with what i do have. I have the ATR rear sway bar, and polygraphite bushings on the front endlinks. Thats it. Everything else is stock. Now with what I want.

I want my car to launch GREAT and handle AWESOME. I want to make it as good of a street car able to handle like a dream and still be able to launch my car amazingly at the track. Not sure with what to do with the suspension, my specialty is engine work. What are your suggestions? Any and all are GREATLY appreciated.

I just put this in last week:

I'm pretty happy with it. My T drives like a new car. It doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart when I go over a bump anymore!!

HRPARTSNSTUFF bar is by far the best thing you can do.

Yeah I just want my car to handle like a vette or a porsche and still launch like a champ at the track. Any other suggestions will be appreciated. thanks a ton.

B-car spindles for better front end geometry (and 12" front rotors) and the 1LE hollow (34 or 36mm) front sway bar to balance out the ATR bar. Both are inexpensive!

Also, to stiffen the frame up some, install new body bushings including the missing GNX bushings and all the braces you can get including:
1. GNX "X" bars behind rear seats,
2. front fender-to-radiator support bars,
3. K-member braces (low in the engine bay in front of the motor).

Finally, get some 16 or 17" wheels/tires.

I was curious, what does everyone think of the cool ride kit from air ride technologies. It lowers the car 2 inches in the front hich is the same as the lowering spindles by bell tech and an inch in the rear. Also where can you get the GNX braces the hollow sway bar etc that you suggested?

I firmly believe it's either one, or the other. You can't have a car that handles like a Corvette and or a Porsche then expect it to perform well at the 1/4 mile track. Not gonna happen. :frown: It's impossible you need weight transfer at the 1/4 track and on a road course you need stability. Two opposites. :)

But I will agree with Boost231 the HR Bar will work in both applications.

I agree with can't have the best of both worlds, but will any front sway bar actually make the car quicker at the strip?

LOL  No man the best thing to do is remove it. ;) Saves on weight and lets the weight of the car transfer to the rear.

Okay, that was my thought too. So when you said, "But I will agree with Boost231 the HR Bar will work in both applications." You didn't mean that a sway bar was going to benefit his car at the track and it could in fact be detrimental.

I haven't kept up the latest greatest and thought this HR bar was something I was missing out on.

All you have to do is take one of the end links off at drag strip to get better weight transfer. The 1LE bar is hollow so weighs next to nothing.

The 1LE bar is avaialble on e-bay and www.turbobuick.com. GNX brace and bushing are available from TR vendors (Cottons Performance, etc.). He may have the other braces...if not, let me know and I will find you a set.

They were talking about a REAR sway bar, not a front...

Go to their website and look at it... maybe you ARE missing out..

I know I want one!
