key stuck in door!! HELP

my key is stuck in my DS door...yesterday i noticed when i turned the key it would just move freely and nothing happened so i had to get in the car from the pass side door....well today as force of habit i tried on the driver side again and it moved freely and when it got to the very end of the clockwise turn it stuck....the key will not move anymore....ive been driving all day w/ my key stuck in my door

i just took the panel off and i seen the lock mechanism was not connected which explained why it spun freely and did not engage/disengage the lock

but i cant figure out how to get my damn key!!!

or maybe a link to an exploded diagram of the actual lock assembly so i can see whats going on....ive been looking w/ no luck

Call a locksmith, I've had one rekey some locks on my suburban before, they should be able to tell you something?

i pulled the whole assembly out and took the bitch all apart and put it back together and viola...i should be a damn lock smith!

but i tried the key again and same problem....theres a bunch of tiny springs in there and one of them slipped out of place relieving tension blah blah blah i need a new lock assembly but atleast now i dont have a key hangin out of my door!

oh and of course while i was putting my door panels on i think i broke the power window swtich....its now in 2 parts(outer piece and the piece w/ the 2 switches) and i cant figure out how they were held together...ill just take off the pass side and compare but ill do it tomorrow b/c it looks like a storm is a brewin now!
