Once upon a midnight dreary,
I left for work, my eyes were bleary...
Heading uptown in my Rosewood TR,
I got stopped at that light by the Killing Time Bar...
The Killers were playing, the volume on 10,
In the lane to my right, a Trans Am slides right in...
He's revving and revving, trying to get me to bite,
But I don't want to race, by the Killing Time's light...
Yet my car's in Kill Mode, alky swirls in its tank,
But junior must think that this one's in the bank,
He just doesn't see the D/R's in dim light,
As he revs and he revs at the Killing Time's light...
Then he rolled down his window, gave a one digit wave,
I just sneered at the growl that his Flowmasters made,
So I thought to myself, "Should I do what is right?"
Should I slaughter this bird at the Killing Time's light?
I gave him a nod as the light was still red,
And pressed hard on the brake while more boost was then fed,
His LS1 Bird sounded strong in the night,
As we both waited for green at the Killing Time's light...
Amber, then green - we both watched it turn,
The turbo was screaming, it's meaning he'll learn...
The T/A had no chance, it was not a fair fight
Against a big turbo'd TR at the Killing Time's light...
He turned off the street, before the next stop arrived,
His pride was in shambles, tears flowed from his eyes...
But maybe he's learned that you don't pick a fight,
With a Rosewood TR by the Killing Time's Light...
