knock gauge

Iam going to hook up my knock gauge soon does any one know what wire i have to hook up to on the ecm85 ecm now soon a 87 ecm does it matter or is it the same . I think it is the black with yellow stripe wire isthis it.

I put the knock gauge in my car and all of the wires that were described are the same with the 84-87 Cars.

FYI.....be sure to make a good connection at the wires splices...the gauge is very sensitive, and if it dosent have a good connection it dosent work correct.
