Where is the best place to buy a knock module for an 87 turbo? My local GM dealer doesn't have them, neither does autozone or checker.

ESC Module Options

The genuine GM spark control module is obsolete and now near impossible to find.

NAPA has part number ESC213 available for a list of $154, and Borg Warner also shows part # ESC113 for a list of $261.

My experience is that the Borg Warner ESC sensors are genuine GM parts in a Borg Warner box.

Hope this helps!

surprise in the box

I bought one last month from NAPA it was around $85 and was a new ACDelco not a BW

Knock sensor? I was able to purchase one from the guys at Harbor Chevrolet (Long Beach, CA). They had to special order it. GM p/n 10456287 ($67.89) I think one of the TB vendors has NOS GM parts (Gyrhead & Sons).

just got one from kirbans the other day. caspers has them as well and i think gbodyparts.

Make Sure

The knock sensor (P/N 10456287) is available everywhere, including our catalog where the everyday price is $41.52 for genuine GM. Wow, I can't believe those dealer prices....$68? Ouch.

The knock module that mounts on the passenger inner fender is obsolete from our GM sources.

Glad to hear that NAPA has the GM module, cause I could use one!
